TOKYO TRAMPS is a 3-piece/all Japanese band, whose sounds are influenced by
blues, country, and classic rock. The band was formed by Satoru Nakagawa while
he was attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, and named after a Springsteen's
song, "Born to Run" (tramps like us, baby we were born to run.). Their
songs are about ordinary people's daily survival, and the obsession with southern
delta.
TOKYO TRAMPS has been extensively performing in New England area.
The venues they played were : Massachusetts - Harpers Ferry, House of Blues,
TT the Bears, Hard Rock Cafe, Sea Note, Red Rock Bistro, Asgard, Linwood Grille, Midway Cafe,
Kirkland Cafe, Lizard Lounge, Abbey Lounge, Plough and Stars, Mount Blue, Next
Page Cafe, O'Brien's, Sky Bar, Improv Asylum, Beachcomber, Fenway Howard Johnson,
ChitChat Lounge, Roosevelt, Rhode Island - The call, New Hampshire - the Barley
House, New York - Lion's Den, The luxx, Alphabet Lounge, New Jersey - the Buffstone's,
Pennsylvania - Abilene, and the Tokio Ballroom........and so on.
The band has participated in the showcases at : Cutting Edge Music Business
Conference in New Orleans, LA and Midwest Music Conference and Film Festival
in Lexington, KY in 2002, Indianapolis Music Conference in Indianapolis, IN
in 2003, and Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, PA in 2004 and Independent Music
Conference in Philadelphia, PA in 2004+2005. TRAMPS performed for NXNE(North By North East
Music Festival in Toronto, ON in 2006, and scheduled to perform for NEMO Music Festival in Boston, MA.

Magazine, The Noise magazine, and Metronome Magazine.
In 2007, TOKYO TRAMPS was selected as the runner-up winner of Boston Phoenix/WFNX 2007 BEST MUSIC POLL Local Blues Act Category. TRAMPS also won the Indie Artist of the Year from Immie Award 2007.
TOKYO TRAMPS was selected as one of the semifinalist for the Boston Blues Society's "Blues Challenge 2004." TOKYO TRAMPS won the WMWM Radio Battle of the Bands 2004.
TOKYO TRAMPS toured to Japan and had a big show in Tokyo in January 2005.
TOKYO TRAMPS has released three albums : the first one "Long
Way From Home" in July 2000, the second one "Bound For Glory"
in June 2003, and the third one "Lucky Jive Will Come Home On King's Road" in May 2006.
